TPS #23 –The $0 Solopreneur (starting with nothing)

READ TIME: 4 MINUTES

Welcome Back, Solopreneurs.

Hunter, here.

There are two types of people:Entrepreneurs & Wantrepreneurs

Wantrepreneurs are people who read content like this, entrepreneur books, YT videos, pods, etc. But don't do anything with what they've learned.

And for the longest time, I was a wantrepreneur, and it hurt.

I just didn't know how to get out there and start kicking up the cosmic dust. I've been thinking a lot about creating the most value for anyone who's just starting out like I was. My biggest bottleneck at the time was money. And it felt like unless I had money to play, I would never make it in the world of business. But this is simply not the case. I didn't know it back then, but there is a world of free tools out there that you can literally use to scale to $10k+/mo

Today we are removing that bottleneck and setting you up with a $0 tool stack. If someone had shared this with me two years ago... It would have been a game-changer. And I hope it has the same effect on you. (This list is in no particular order, but all are essential in some way or another)

The $0 Solopreneur Tech-Stack

Content Marketing:

•Twitter•Linkedin•Tiktok

Depending on your niche, personality, and brand, some platforms will work better for you. But in general, the idea is to create free marketing through the use of content.

(Replacing the need for paid ads)

Design:

•Canva• Figma

If you a newbie designer like I was, then Canva is the GO-TO. It's intuitive, easy to use, and, most importantly, free. Think of Canva as algebra and Figma as Calculus.

You can do more with Figma. The learning curve is just steeper is all.

Website:

•Typedream.com•Carrd.co•Yep.so

I have used all of these tools many times, and there are some key differences to be aware of.

Yep– Easiest to use, premade templates for copy, but less customization.

Carrd– A little more challenging to use, templates available, and Much more customization

Typedream– The most challenging of the three (IMO) but has the best free customization and features available.

Capture & Payment:

• Tally.so–form capture• Stripe.com– Payments (2.9% fee)

I put these two together because more often than not, if you are a serviced based business, you will capture leads first, and process payments later.

If you aren't interested in a service base, Gumroad.com is perfect for beginners, processing payment, email marketing, and digital products.

Just be aware of the high fees on their "tiers."

Project Management:

•Notion

Whether you are running 7-fig agency or a solopreneur just starting out. Notion is the perfect place to keep your busy life and business in order.

I honestly don't know what I would do without it.

It can be daunting to use at first, but I promise it's simpler than it looks.

Newsletter:

•Beehiiv•Substack

I've talked a lot about these two platforms in the past for a good reason. The day you start your brand or business should be the day you launch your newsletter as well.

Too many forget how valuable your email list truly is.

Automation and AI:

• Bardeen.ai (automation)• Make.com (1 free automation)• You.com (free ai chatbot and browser)• ChatGPT (AI)

When you are a "solopreneur," you need to automate and outsource asap. There is always too much to do and no time to do. Ultimately most get stuck doing busy work and not focusing on high-leverage opportunities. AI & Automation solves that issue for me.

Today, I compiled all the tools I discussed in a curated database for you to reference and use on your solopreneur journey.

Feel free to add tools you like using as you go; it's a much more efficient system than trying to bookmark Chrome folders.

None of these are affiliate links, just honest recommendations I would give to my past self.

PS: Whenever you're ready, here are two-way I can help you:
