TPS #24– 3-Steps to Create Digital Leverage

READ TIME: 5 MINUTES

Welcome Back, Solopreneurs.

I'm sure the term "digital leverage" Isn't new to you.

But the BS advice thrown around by gurus today is just not helpful.

They always preach, "Create digital leverage," but what does that even mean?

Unfortunately, most solopreneurs are stuck with traditional mindsets and methods that only hold them back.

But it's not your fault...

Conventional wisdom might lead you to believe that if you want to be successful, then you need to follow the same path as others. Today we are going to smash those beliefs.

Why Most Solopreneurs Fail to Build Digital Leverage

  • Fear of standing out and taking risks

  • Overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information available

  • Uncertainty about how to choose the right niche

  • Struggling with time management and prioritization

When I started my first newsletter about 1 year ago today, I didn't know what my "niche" was. Didn't know where to start or how to scale, and this process burns most.

Fast forward ten months, and I'm now working for myself, building an audience, have the ability to do whatever I want. First off, no one is going to hold your hand through this. You won't see results immediately, and you will get frustrated. Your will to continue even though it's rough, is what separates you and your future success.

Let's get into it.

Step 1: Adopt the Creator's Mindest

Realize this:

You are unique.

Your perspective is valuable. No one has lived the exact life and experienced the exact memories you have.

If you don't know what to start "creating," look at other successful creators or entrepreneurs you resonate with.

We are all creators in every sense of the world, even if you don't think so. At the highest level, it's never tactics that make a difference. It's the ability to think creatively.

The best way to get ahead is to reverse engineer the people who do it best.

Whenever I want to learn something in the most efficient way possible. This is the system I use:Go to the best person in that niche, and learn everything I can about their process.

• Buy their course• Devour their content• Take notes on novel ideas

You don't have to "pay-to-play," but it does help.

Step 2: Automate & Optimize

Digital leverage is all about utilizing tools that save you time and money. There are TONS to pick from, and I've outlined the ones I like the best in last week's article. If you don't know any, go check it out.

The reason you need to automate these processes is so you can focus on what is important. The greats never sacrifice what is important for what is urgent.

It's not that easy when you are just starting, but it's important mindest to take it with you as your workload inevitably increases.

Some automation I have that saves me hours every week:

• Emails sent to new customers of my templates using Gumroad• Notion updating my calendar with new meetings• Bardeen.ai creating a new Note sheet for every meeting• Fireflies transcribing and summarizing all my meetings• TweetHunter for scheduling all of my social media content

Step 3: Become your Own Micro-Niche

The best way to "pick your niche" is simply not.

You don't need to box yourself into these "content pillars."

Don't get me wrong, it definitely helps. But the way to stand out is by sharing genuine thoughts, ideas, and advice you have. To paraphrase Dickie Busch:Think of it as writing to your past self 2 years ago. What information do they need? What are they struggling with?Where can you now help?

These are critical questions to provide solutions to if you want to attract a loyal audience.

Your story and personal experiences can be a powerful inspiration for others who used to be in your position. Use it to your advantage.

None of this will be easy, but it will be worth it. Value is always a lagging indicator of momentum. Meaning that the value you are giving away now, you won't see results for months to come. But results do come. You must be patient and consistent enough to see the light at the end of the cold dark tunnel.

Or as Naval says, the process of creating content, building in public, and iterating is "kicking up cosmic dust" that will eventually lead to opportunities for you.

Find meaning in the process, not the results.

As always, I want to help you start taking action today that you will thank yourself for in the future.

This week, I created "The 3S Digital Leverage System"It encapluates the three steps we talked about, but in a more funtiocal and applicable to your real life kind of way. You can input different strategies your testing and how they realte to your metrics, and schedule and vice versa. Being able to reflect on your inputs and outputs will give you clarity like no other. I hope you enjoy.
