TPS #44– My New Sidekick: Ned The Notion Wiz

As a long-time Notion power user, I’m constantly dreaming up new systems and workflows I want to build. But between client work and running a business, I don’t always find the time to make those Notion visions a reality.

Often bogged down with content, personal branding stuff, and client deliverables, it can feel like a lot.

Until now.

Allow me to introduce my new AI sidekick Ned - aka the Notion Wiz! I carefully crafted Ned in ChatGPT to help me instantly design and build custom Notion templates on demand.

Well…

Not quite in demand, but it's the closest I can get for the time being, and I’m excited to share it with you.

In this post, I’ll reveal how Ned can level up your Notion skills too. Let’s dive in!

My Ongoing Notion Struggles

As an agency owner and solopreneur, Notion is my digital command center for everything from meeting notes to project management.

Over my systems creation time, I’ve built dozens of different systems and workflows in Notion.

Client portals to track progress, editorial calendars for content scheduling, human resource databases, sales pipelines, product roadmaps - you name it.

Notion helps me organize it all digitally in flexible ways I can tweak and customize endlessly.

But the problem is, I still have a constantly growing list of new template ideas and workflows I think up and scribble down, hoping someday I’ll find time to build them out.

The hardest part (at least for me) is building the frame out.

My visions for taking my Notion game to the next level were being halted by my limited bandwidth. If only someone could take my concepts and turn them into reality...

Introducing Ned, My AI Notion Assistant

That’s why I crafted Ned, my AI Notion wizard! After feeding ChatGPT tons of detailed information on Notion’s functionality through web plugins, I carefully built Ned with specialized prompts.

He’s an AI customized specifically for building Notion systems rapidly. Ned has deep expertise in Notion best practices - everything from complex databases to multi-table relations to intricate formulas.

I describe any template or workflow I want to create in plain English, and Ned immediately generates the full Notion elements needed to build it out.

This allows me to focus on strategy while Ned handles the tactical build. Huge time saver!

It’s all about leverage, and for me, this is a form of leverage.

Not needing to spend hours mapping out how the system will work, Ned just knows how things should go and lets me focus on the building.
